This is an old holiday inn, and although well maintained, it had a tired look. The staff and the amenities were very good.

Positives: The hotel had all the amenities I needed.

Negatives: The hotel needs an upgrade in decorations.

The hotel is a good value for the money. Good place for kids. We would definitely stay there again if in the Oshawa area. The rooms are a little dated, bathrooms are small.

Positives: Kids loved the 2 pools, especially the outdoor one.

Negatives: Computer in the business centre was out of date. I could not even print my boarding pass.

I wanted a king bed but they said they could not change - even when I offered more money. For a hotel that has 200 room or so and 20 cars in the parking lot at 10 p.m.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms for the price we paid. Everything was free - local phone calls, parking, internet. No complimentary breakfast. The pool had too much chlorine in it, but we've seen worse. The pool has lots of plants around it which takes up valuable real estate. There weren't enough chairs for the parents to watch their children swim!

We have stayed here twice, and enjoyed it both times. The Tuesday night guest appreciation suite was a nice surprise. I forgot my toothbrush and the desk clerk gave me one. Overall excellent service.

The Holiday Inn was old in need of having a major renovation. Reception staff paid no attention to our requests eventhough hotel was near empty. We requested a room on the upper floor away from elevators and stairs, received a drafty room, very cold even with heat turned up, a noisy unit. Room was on the second floor next to stair well exit, hotel staff made reference to reservation made on Internet at a major discount.

Positives: It was clean.

Negatives: No choice.

Great location, great price, friendly people, clean room. There is an indoor pool and fast internet. Heater/AC in room was not installed properly, so a very cold draft/breeze was coming through causing the very noisy heater to kick on all the time.

The room was nice, but could have been cleaner. The pool area looked great, with a jacuzzi and sauna. The restaurant was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very unhappy with the people beside us. Security came up once and told them to be quite and left. They continued on and made noise. Could not get a hold of security again. We got no sleep that night. Not happy!

The movies on demand didn't work and they replaced the hardware and got it working for me. I stay here frequently - the staff and customer service is always top notch. They make me feel very comfortable and appreciate my business.

Positives: Customer service is always wonderful!

Negatives: Swimming lessons in the pool everyday makes it noisy and hard to relax.

Good and clean premises, excellent location. Just off the highway, staff was great and accommodating and the restaurant was fine. Will very likely stay again when we are in the area.

Hotel staff were quite accommodating and facilities were enjoyable and access from the room was convenient. Room was very quiet, and comfortable. (We were in the room only late at night). The only problem was the small size of the bath room.

The last Holliday Inn we were at in Wpg. This hotel considered the request and we able to accommodate us. Even after we arrived after 1am. ( I called them earlier to advise of late arrival and it was no problem) Top marks to their service!

This hotel is well maintained which shows as soon as you walk in the front doors. My room had recent renovations and was very clean. Hotel staff were quick to respond for any needs and very friendly as well as helpful.

Pleasant and accommodating staff (they provided me with a king bed room, no questions asked). Pool area is very clean. The room that I had was very spacious and accommodated my needs. Free high speed internet and wireless in the restaurant, which are a must for me. Overall, very positive experience.

Positives: Even though the hotel is not a top star, hotel; they added little touches (turndown service) that made it very pleasant.

Negatives: The decor of the hotel was a little outdated.

This is a good hotel, close to the main Ont. highway; we have stayed there before and did okay, and however the last time we stayed there we thought the bathroom could have been cleaner.
