My wife and I decided to spoil ourselves at the Auberge Lakeview over Thanksgiving expecting, at over $250/night, that we would be well taken care of. Here are some observations:
- Our room was so small, they had to put the bathroom sink in the bedroom;
- According to management, it was mandatory that we take the Bed and Breakfast package (instead of just the room). As a result, we received an empty breakfast 'buffet' and 'Tang'! My pregnant wife was not very happy, especially overhearing the commentary from the kitchen about the 'vultures' in the dining room.
- There was no attempt to correct the situation when we politely complained to the front desk. Only the comment that the feedback was helpful and would be communicated to the management.
- The feedback cards in the rooms only had 'fair', 'good' and 'excellent' as options. (We had to draw our own 'poor' catagories on the cards.)

To summarize, I'd pay $80-$100/night for the Lakeview...certainly not $250+.

Very dissapointed. Most of the staff were rude. When we called to make our reservations, we were told we would have access to a boat and would only have the gaz to pay for. We paid gaz and were charged for the rental of the boat. Upon arrival our room wasnt ready and we had to wait over two hours. The pool is NOT heated as the brochure claims. On the positive side, the food was good and the room was clean.
