We just came back from the Baldachin Inn and had to submit a review. We were traveling around for a few days. Anyhow, our room was very clean and comfortable. The meal at the Baldachin Inn was incredible. We had the poached pear salad with cranberries and stilton cheese. I am a salad freak and this was one of the best salads I have ever had. We also had the organic chicken club sandwich - which we shared and they brought it out on separate plates with the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. The waitress was great. She recommended excellent local beers and the glasses of wine were generous for the price.

Go to Merrickville for a romantic weekend. Enjoy the shops, hike along the canal, stay at the Baldachin Inn - eat at the restaurant. Have a beer in the backyard patio. You will have a great time.

Stayed with my girlfriends for the weekend. I loved everything. The rooms, whrlpools, the pub, the dining room, the food and the staff were great. I will definitely be going back. Great shopping in the village too.

This was the first time my husband and I stayed here and enjoyed it very much. The room was beautiful and the price was great(I realize it was off season), much better then other places I had checked. We will return.
