I want to comment on the aug 14 review - first of all the Mounted Shooters had not even happened yet !! they were at Emte Town Aug 26 and 27th. So what is up with that? Then you made rude comments aobut security - you guys were being complete jerks and if I were security I would have evicted you on the spot! You gave her such a hard time you should be ashamed of yourselves. The cafe and bar staff were OK - but not exceptional. The only one who half did a good job was the young gal and even then room for imporvement. So what ever you are trying to prove - you failed. You were and are still jerks so don't go back when I am there! 911 cops are on my speed dial. go camp in the bush far away!

Positives: good staff and facilites are kept clean

Negatives: too expensive and not much for activities - need western plays, music, bands etc.

I had a very good experiance there while i was there for the schoot out, very peacefull and quiet.

Positives: The antiques in the buildings are amazing and the land is out far enough that it is nice and quiet at night and the food is amazing as well the bartending staff and the kitchen staff are friendly and accomidating ...good job guys ;)

Negatives: The bathrooms down at the entrance are neglected and to dark at night ..the lady on the golf cart is to nosy and talks to much and is a very abrasive person who is quite terrifying when she gets upset ..and i dont think if we pay to stay we should have to pay to look around

This place is one of a kind. Sure it is a little rustic but my wife and I were treated amazingly by the staff.

Positives: The food was much better than we ever expected and the setting was so tranquil. We just loved it there.

Negatives: Had to come home for work or we would still be there.

we enjoyed most of the long weekend at Emte Town - enjoyed the old town and went on trial rides and wagon rides and the little ones had fun on the ponies. The folks who run the horses were lots of fun. Nothing much else to do though especially for kids.

Positives: The gal out in the campground was lots of fun and accommodating. The Saloon and cafe staff were all very good and the food was good too.

Negatives: no history anywhere about the town other than what the staff could offer which was little - how about a handout or board with history info. Campground where we were and parking lot were very muddy. Hard to turn my big RV around in that messy, crowded little space and there was that big lawn right across the fence ! I nearly drove through that rail and over a car to get out - need more room guys! a playground for the kids would be an asset. Kids were bored and wanted to go home. so we did.

we were in a group camping and had a function at emte town. everything was clean and well kept - I understand it never used to be like that and give credit to the new housekeeping staff superviser Velinda. She is very intentive and friendly and made our stay a real pleasure. Good facilites other than some of the town buildings need repair and were not able to go inside to view only from the door / roped. Good food but way too expensive for what you get. Drinks - best bring your own again way too expensive. seems they are after one time guests not repeat customers.

Positives: again the supervisor Velinda was awesome so she gets a 10 - nice scenery and facilities were decent

Negatives: Bartender Jan - she needs an attitude adjustment. What a b---ch. Not friendly and hard. bring your own booze if you dont want to go broke. Food too expensive and the cook cant speak english - saw him cough into the grill while cooking.... yikes! where is the health inspector?? not sure we would ever go back or recommend the place.

We have been going to Em-Te Town for years so it was without a second thought to have our 25th wedding anniversary there. It was so wonderful, we had dinner and a dance in the new hall. The food was perfect! Having the motel, cabins and camping in one area is was easy to accommodate all of our guests and have our function there too! Our guests really enjoy looking through the town and can’t wait to come back. Hats off to Rex AND his staff for making our party and the whole weekend perfect. We look forward to many more years of camping at Em-Te Town.

Positives: The staff and being able to accommodate a large function from food to lodging.

Our corporate group had an amazing workshop held at Em-Te Town over a 4 night period.
The location was not only convenient for employees traveling from various parts of the province, but also offered many activities that were nearby (such as fishing/ boating, golf, horseback riding). The setting of the venue is beautiful with open fields, lots of trees and a river.
We were served 3 meals a day for 20 people, used all the types of accommodations; motel, rustic cabins and RV sites and their saloon was our 3 day conference room. The motel rooms were cozy, but served a great purpose with clean and comfy beds, clean bathrooms and coffee for the morning (even had satellite TV, which no one used as it was too beautiful to be outside). The rustic cabins were indeed rustic as mentioned on the website, but it was expected. They did provide propane lanterns and furnaces. The RV spot was ideal and had fire pits for our use. They also set us up a large bonfire in their pit by the saloon.

We will be booking future corporate functions here and look forward to going back. Thanks Em-Te Staff!!!

Positives: The staff was super; surely went over and above to make us happy, provide any additional requirements our employees needed, friendly and welcoming.
Meals served were tasty and provided something different at each meal, each day.
The location and open room to roam was both convenient and esthetically pleasing.
There were several activities available such as horseshoes, horseback riding, the group bonfire and plenty of room to set up other things like baseball, bocce ball and others.

Had no problems with the property itself - it is a little overpriced for what you get, the rooms are small, and there are lots of extra charges that you may not expect if you don't fully ready the website. The RV campsites are quite small and very close together. The group campsite is actually quite large and very nice.

Positives: Beautiful setting, nice that there is an on-site cafe and saloon, the town is cute and fun for kids to explore.

Negatives: I would warn anyone who is booking an event here - be very careful to read the fine print, get EVERYTHING in writing, and do not trust verbal agreements. Management has not kept any of the promises that were made verbally during the planning of our event, and as a result, it cost us over $1,000 more than they originally quoted. All deposits are NON-refundable, under any circumstances (even when they are unable or unwilling to meet their committments). The location is nice enough, but definitely not worth the runaround and hassle we endured. I know there are always complainers, so if you think that I'm one of "those people", I just ask you to listen to your gut and maybe think twice before offering your credit card number. I wish I had.

Really enjoyed the camping site by the river and the old town buildings. Very quiet and treed area so avoided hot sun and was shielded from heavy rain.

Positives: Site for tenting in the trees. Old town buildings. Food at saloon was great. Friendly staff.

Negatives: Washrooms - outhouse in the treed areas had no lighting, and very dirty by our 3rd day there. Washrooms in the shower building were both plugged/overflowing. No soap in washrooms with the flush toilets. Were not cleaned often. Friends stayed in the motel and the rooms were extremely hot and had no cleaning done the entire 4 nights they were there and cost was almost $100 per night. Motel should only be MAXIMUM $50 based on the size of room/amenities/cleanliness. Also should not have to pay for entrance to Em-Te town old buildings if a regular camper - should charge based on entering the old town only and then campers can decide if they want to walk around that area or just camping near the river.

Been there before on a day tour ... was impressed with the old west town ... camping down by the river sounds great..might go there this weekend ... cabin or motel ... not sure ... Sounds like a good idea to keep the atv's out of the campsite...

I dont know when you were at emte town but it is under new ownership and the new owners are just terrific. Thet have put new furnaces in all the cabins, dug new wells for the motel, fixed all the buildings and built a great new kitchen. They also installed new showers in the shower house and have cleaned the place up just nicely. The quads now have to keep them on the trailers and go to rose creek to quad. Better go check it out again. You will be pleasantly suprised.

It seems anyone with an axe to grind can make defamitory comments about named individuals. The guidelines do not permit this. The statements made by the person who claims to have attended a function on this date are defamitory and untrue. Both functions were stated by the vast majority of participants to be a resounding success on the busiest weekend of the year.
