We reserved a serviced (w & e) site for a 3-night weekend. I was surprised at the cost ($45/night). Then I was upset at our site - a piece of grass on a corner that was too small for our 8 ft tent trailer – our awning would have been on the road with no room for our SUV or screen tent. Plus the site was being used as a parking area for the seasonals and a place to store a utility trailer. If you know the site is being used that night, why would you not clear the site? Our friends, with a 32-ft trailer, were given a site too small to accommodate them. We were then given their site while our friends were given a great site (why weren’t they assigned this site in the first place?) The bathrooms are old – the showers had little water pressure. On Saturday night there was a wedding reception at the rec hall. The party-goers proceeded back to their sites– right across from us – around 1:00 a.m. and proceeded to party loudly for a long time – so we got no sleep. On Sunday there was no water – first the water pressure was extremely low while we were doing dishes and then there was no water at all. We ended up cutting our long weekend short and left after two nights.

Positives: It was near the Kingston Peninsula. Kingston has a very nice market on Saturdays.

Negatives: Too crowded. Too expensive. No control over the noise. Drunks. People vomiting. People yelling & cursing in the middle of the night. Vehicles parked everywhere. Small sites for the overnight guests. Bathrooms are old.

Nice place but requiring quite a bit of upgrading. The bathrooms especially need a face lift and could certainly be kept cleaner. It's time to fix the wooden knob that flushes the toilet don't you think? Pricey for the accommodations for sure.
