Staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Very expensive campground!! Bathrooms/showers were dirty and not cleaned during our stay. The recycling was full and not emptied for the week we stayed.

Negatives: Too expensive. For the money they charge they could at least clean the bathrooms and showers.

We were a 2 families of 4 camping together... adults and 4 children from ages 3-12...the campground itself is relatively nice and there is quite a bit to do although they charge for most things...the pool, splash pad, canoes and petting zoo are free...ping pong is .25 a ball, showers .25 for 2 min, etc...the overly enforce quiet time...we were approached on Fri and sat evening at midnight and very rudely told to go to bed...we were doing nothing wrong...just 4 adults quietly talking by the fire...the young staff were spotted numerous times in the bushes spying on people all over the campground at night...very weird and unsettling...will never go back and will never recommend to anyone....

Positives: fairly clean, nice splash pad...

Negatives: rude and condescending staff...

Worst experience camptin in all the years I've been camping, over 30! Don't apreciate the commment "we don't work for free, we will take your $250." Nice threat!

Positives: Bathrooms were clean on Friday.

Negatives: Staff follows you around, walks in the woods in the night with their flashlights to make sure you are in bed at 11pm. Look in your cars with their flashlights. Are very rude. Bathrooms were disgusting after friday.

It was not made clear that everyone should be in bed by eleven o clock absolutely no exceptions. No mater how quiet you are. Absolutely no music at any time!!
Who goes away to be told what time to go to bed!!!!

Positives: there are quit a few things for the kids to do.

Negatives: No freedom!!!!!! We do not live in Russia!!!! I want to decide on when I go to bed!!! I am not up to party!! I want to roast marshmallows with my friends and family without worrying about being in bed by exactly eleven!

EXTREMELY strict on noise level after 11pm. We had 4 families go up together (11 adults, 9 kids). We booked 5 sites (508-512) in the back corner of the campground, and we were to use the middle site as our cooking site/main campfire. The middle site was a minimum 100 feet from any other campground not belonging to us. The first night, 6 of us were sitting around a campfire talking fairly quietly. We had a man and woman from the site walk onto our site at 11:30pm, flashing there flashlights in our faces, and in our cars, saying everyone has to go to bed because it is a "family campground", 11pm apparently means bedtime in mennonite, (they run the campground). Around 1am, several of us made the 10 minute walk to the bathrooms at the front of the campground. They followed us back to our sites in there golf cart, and once we reached our sites, they demanded to see the people who signed for the $250 security deposits for each and every site. We said 3 of the 5 were sleeping, they demanded we wake them up. They then threatened to take away ALL of the security deposits if they have to return again that night. That would be $1,250 for being 'noisy'". The security deposit it clearly used as a way to threaten people that do not adhere to bedtime. The second night, again, the same man and woman came onto our sites with the flashlights at 11:14pm, saying they were having complaints. Again, it is a 10 minute walk to the front, meaning someone would of had to hear noise at 11:01, and be so angered that they just had to drive to the front and complain, to make it to our sites by 11:14, they were clearly lying. They were again very rude, and immediately threatened to take the security deposits away, as this was our third and final strike. The 5 of us decided to stay up as we did not believe we were being disruptive at all. Around 12:30, just as the night before, we made our trip to the washrooms before going to bed. After reurning to our sites, my mom and friend decided they had to go to the washroom as well. When they were returning, they noticed the man and woman sitting in there golf cart, behind some trees near our site, spying on us. She said hello, they ignored her. She walked right up and said hello again, they said hello, and told her to return to her site, and go to bed. The next morning, we decided it would not be worth staying for the final night as we had originally booked. When leaving, we asked if we could get back what we had paid for the final night. They said no, and went as far as to say we would be lucky if we get our deposits back. Overall, the employees at the campground ruined the overall weekend for us.

Positives: Great area, canoes and paddle boats in the pond were entertaining. Good pool, overall good site with a lot of things to do.

Negatives: NO NOISE AFTER 11. None, not even whispering. Youre fire is not even allowed to crackle or they will threaten to take your $250. If you are a night person, do not go to this site.

We thoroughly enjoyed Tobermory Village Campground. Warm, very friendly atmosphere and safe environment for the kids. Kids enjoyed the horse wagon rides and all other amenities. We appreciated the quietness after 11pm VERY much, having two children. Our campsite was in a lovely setting with trees and rocks.

The friendly atmosphere, lovely quiet setting and beautiful campsites have made this our favourite place to return to every summer. Always accommodating and kind, the family manages to make us feel both guests and friends. Fantastic improvements over the years, an amazing playground, it gets better every year. They are genuinely interested in the quality of their guests' camping experience.

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!
We've done a lot of camping in our day, and we must admit that this is the strangest, most expensive campground to stay ever.
First off, we were charged $60/night for 4 people on apparently an "extra large" site, which was B.S.! The "extra large" site housed 4 sites together. Our site for 2 tents was so ridiculously small that the trailers beside us were RIGHT THERE! You could hear every little detail. The grounds are clean yes, but it's run by an Amish family - very bizarre. They were rude and would not refund $$ when our family was entitled to it when we asked to move to a large site - what we originally paid for. I would NEVER recommend this campground. Be warned.
