We stayed 3 nights of a 9 day stay in PEI and it was a wonderful introduction to the Island. Sandra and Fred are the warmest hosts, full of information about and appreciation of PEI. The room was restful and relaxing, filled with every amenitiy, including home-made snacks. The ensuite bath was elegantly appointed, and the breakfasts simply astounding. Fresh free range eggs, breakfast meats, home baked goodies galore, all enough to keep us going well past lunchtime. We got to see the farm, inspect the Romany wagon, and our hosts even took us to a ceilidh in a country schoolhouse, where, inspired by young and old dancing, we got up and danced more than we had in years! The music, warmth of the people, and "lunch" PEI for lots of refreshments included in the tiny entrance charge. We just wish we'd stayed at Romany Rest the whole time.
