Great hotel location but that's about it. The pool was teeny, the room service had poor hours and was overpriced, and the room view we had wasn't great, we won't be back to the Oakes again!

Positives: The location was great. I loved it.

Negatives: Our room that was supposed to have a view of the falls had the farthest thing from it. We had a view of tour buses and a parkade.

Rooms were ok but the hotel looked tired, it needed a refurbish, staff was not very happy, the guy that checked us in was very miserable.

The location is the best and the view spectacular. The hotel is itself is rather bare-bones, you're paying for the view and it's well worth it.

Negatives: As a doctor, I have to say that I worried about the cleanliness and health of my family while staying here. The room was filthy.

Also the more expensive of the 2 rooms had virtually no bathroom - not what I expect in a 4 star hotel - this was more 2-3 star level. The upgraded room on the 2nd night was acceptable.

Good location: next door to Fallviews Casino and restaurants and shops, with nice view of the falls from the observation desk. The air conditioning in the room was really loud. I had to unplug it in .....
