Malahat Farm B&B and Cottage, Sooke, British Columbia

Historic Malahat Farm, first established in 1895 has been receiving guests for almost 100 years. The rustic simplicity of these old farm houses is truly reminiscent of "Grandma's house" from days gone by. Both houses were built with old growth clear fir and red cedar from the original property.

Retreat to the wilderness just 55 minutes from Victoria. Surrounded by peaceful meadows and towering forests, our Heritage Homes are just minutes from wild ocean beaches and fabulous hiking. The 1919 three-bedroom Cottage offers complete privacy for a couple or a family of eight. In the 1912 Farmhouse, the two B&B rooms have private baths. The sweeping staircase, upstairs library, front parlour with fireplace, cozy window seat, and turn of the century decor will take you back to a time less frantic. Please see our website for details.

The three-bedroom farm cottage, built in 1919, is a farm retreat surrounded by serene meadows and Pacific Coast rainforest. Only a ten-minute drive from the heart of Sooke, Malahat Farm can be your home base for exploring some of Vancouver Islands finest West Coast Marine parks.

If you dont feel like driving, stay close to home and enjoy the hiking, mountain biking, beachcombing, surfing, and fishing that are only minutes away or, if you wish, relax on the farm all day. In the evening, soak in the hot tub and watch the shooting stars crossing a clear night sky.

The cottage is cosy but spacious. It can be a romantic getaway for a couple or comfortable accommodation for up to twelve people depending on sleeping arrangements. It has a large sunny farm kitchen, laundry and a full bathroom with a shower and antique claw foot tub. The Master bedroom also has a two-piece ensuite. There are two more bedrooms upstairs.
