Millstream Cottages and Motel, Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island

Our cottages and motel are ideally located to allow you to explore the many facets of our Island, the smallest province of Canada.

Only minutes away is Charlottetown, the Capital City and Birthplace of Canada, and home of the Confederation Centre of the Arts featuring the famous Anne of Green Gables musical play. Harness racing at the popular Charlottetown Driving Park, also known as The Kentucky of Canada, is close by. And so is the Prince Edward Island National Park, with many natural features and learning opportunities to explore, including Brackley Beach, Stanhope Beach, Greenwich, and of course Cavendish, the home of Anne of Green Gables.

We are located in beautiful Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island right in the heart of North Shore Tourist Region. We will do our best to make your family's vacation at Millstream Cottages & Motel a time for pleasant memories.

In 1980, two Dutch dairy farm families immigrated to PEI. Looking back, we are grateful to our parents for making this beautiful Island our home. In the spring of 2001, we purchased Millstream Cottages and Motel. Today, with some hired help and that of our four boys, Lukas, Alexander, Patrick and Corey, we operate the property ourselves.

The MacCallum Family milled raw lumber in the sawmill at the bottom of the stream on the Millstream Cottages property about 50-60 years ago. The mill was powered by water from the pond. At a later date a diesel engine was added. Our neighbors, Millstream Trail Rides and Millstream Family Restaurant, also carry the historic Millstream name. To this date, the sawmill provides the dam for our pond. Although in disrepair, it can be viewed if you spend time with us.

We live on the property all year round and have been hard at work to renovate the motel, cottages and surrounding gardens. When you drive in, you will notice our new flower gardens. If you stay in our motel, you will notice the make-over along with the complimentary coffee. Some cottages have also seen a make-over and some new decks. While the children enjoy the new playhouse with sandbox and toys, everyone enjoys a calm evening fire by the recently added fire pits. The most important qualities are cleanliness and friendliness and we believe we have those.

Directions from Charlottetown and the Confederation Bridge. As you leave the Confederation Bridge, take Highway #1 (Trans Canada) east to Charlottetown - 40 minutes. Turn left, at the Calvary Temple, on to Route #2 West and then take your first right on to Route #2 East (Bypass Highway) and follow it until you reach Route #15 (Brackley Point Road) - 7 minutes. Turn left on to Route #15 and drive toward Brackley Beach until you reach Millstream Cottages and Motel - 10 minutes.
