Beautiful hotel
Positives: Very luxurious far exceeded star rating given to it. Free parking on the street after 6 pm Friday for the enitre weekend.
Negatives: The hotel did not offer information regarding free parking on the street for the weekend but I knew from previous trip to Ottawa.

The hotel rooms and public area's coziness helped give the feeling of being at home. The staff were excellent, extremely helpful and always smiling when dealing with you and gave you the feeling they were very sincere and wanting to assist you, something that I as a previous supervisor take very serious.
Positives: The rooms and public areas gave the feeling of coziness. The fireplace and sitting area in lobby were great.
Negatives: Parking was a little complicated.

It was just what we were looking for. Rooms were nicely decorated and clean, in a great location with lots of restaurants and entertainment nearby.
Positives: Unique decor, clean rooms.

This hotel is in a good location, but is a very poor choice if you are arriving by car. There is only one space to park to check-in on the street, so if anyone else is checking in you will be unable to park anywhere close to the hotel to check-in. The parking facility for this hotel is not owned by the hotel, and is in very poor condition. Hotel charges $20/day+tax to park in that facility, facility itself charges $14 flat (so you pay more to park there by paying the hotel than the facility directly). Rooms were not cleaned.
Positives: Room furnishings.
Negatives: Poor bathroom layout, not cleaned properly. Poor parking.

The staff was lovely and helpful. Great location and in the middle of everything. Not really for families though.
Positives: The staff was LOVELY. The hotel was really clean.
Negatives: No breakfast and the small restaurant downstairs didn't have a family friendly menu. The pool was also cold.

Overall it was a charming boutique style hotel. The service was great, the location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel is nice and clean. Very family friend. Parking is extremely tight and at additional charge. We would stay at the hotel again, minus the parking issue.

The hotel Indigo has a reasonably good location west of the canal. The rooms are new and nicely decorated. Everything was In good repair and clean. The room was large and looked like the pictures on the web page. The gym has a good selection of equipment, a pool, and a sauna. The Internet connection (Ethernet cable) worked, but I could not get the wireless to work. Perhaps It only works In the common areas. The front desk clerk was courteous and efficient. The restaurant was very poor. Although the prices are good for a hotel, and the menu had appealing Items, the execution was lacking. The dining room was very dated looking. Many tables were covered with dirty dishes throughout my meal, even though there were less than 5 customers. A large number of confused staff members milled about. They said they were sold out of many Items on the wine list, but who knows? I ended up helping the barman find out what he actually had In stock by looking over his shelves! I talked to the cook, and It seemed to me that much of the food was pre-fib. I thought the steak would be a safe bet, but the meat did not have good flavor, and the vegetables were clearly prepared ahead of time and were very tired by the time they made It to my plate. The hotel Itself was fine, but do not eat there. The kind but pathetic staff Is not up to the job.
Positives: Clean, modern, working Internet connection, good gym.
Negatives: Restaurant has poor food, Incompetent staff, and Is ugly.

Really excellent location only 2 minutes from Parliment House. Great and friendly staff, clean, comfortable. Gym was ok, pool a little small but can't complain. Really unique room design. Would recommend and will definately use again for my next trip to Ottawa
