Our elegant, 1914, turn of the century home is located in the historic residential area of Crescentwood, surrounded by Winnipeg s famous, stately old elms. Our central location offers easy access from the airport and all major transportation centers. We are close to many tourist and business destinations. Within walking distance is the Pan Am Pool, as well as the eclectic shopping and restaurant areas of Corydon Avenue and Osborne Village. The Forks, Centennial Concert Hall, Manitoba Theatre Centre, MTS Centre and Assiniboine Park are easily accessible either by car or nearby convenient bus routes.

When you return from your day of exploring Winnipeg, it s not just your bedroom that awaits you at Galbraith House. Visit with other guests in our oak paneled living room or sip afternoon tea in the old-fashioned sunroom. Read the paper on the screened in deck, relax watching TV, or play a board game in our spacious over the garage library/den.

We offer two rooms for our guests. They are on the second floor and each has a queen bed and private bath. You will snuggle in under down comforters or sleep comfortably cooled by window air conditioners, depending on the season.

After a restful night s sleep, enjoy breakfast in the large, central dining room, surrounded by the home s original oak paneling. Breakfast at Galbraith House is generous and varied. Homemade muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, both hot and cold, toast and local preserves as well as the breakfast entree of the day are all possibilities. Whether you prefer a full, hot breakfast, or something lighter, we do our best to make sure you start your day feeling satisfied.
