Great location, very friendly and accomodating hosts. The cleanest place we've seen. Relaxing in the gardens overlooking the lake specially at sunset was an unforgetable experience, and oh lets not forget those muffins for breakfast. We definitely recommend it.

I found my stay at Edelweiss most memorable. Sam and Iman treated as if I was a family member. The room was always kept clean and replenshied with all requirements. Their breakfast meals felt like I was at home. They alawys seem to go out of their way to ensure that my stay is most enjoyable. The view from the motel is utterly breath taking. There is no doubt that Sam and Iman kindness and warmth will have me always coming to stay there (and ONLY there).
Positives: Along with Sam and Iman thier two daughters also go out of their way to ensure that we are look after in all aspects.
From places to dine, shop and sight seeing, I also leave any place very conent.
Negatives: The only negative item is that I wish I had more time to visit Port Elgin, and I would ONLY stay at the Edelweiss.

We have never, ever had an experience like we did at the Edelweiss. When checking in, we asked to see the rooms to make sure they were adequate for our needs. We are not fussy people and were just wanting something clean and quiet. The rooms were awful, they smelled, everything was mismatched and they looked old and tired. We then told the owner that we preferred to go elsewhere because it wasn't what we required and she swore at us--She is a raving lunatic! We do not recommend this spot and wince everytime we drive by.
