Welcome to Tattingstone Inn, located on Main Street in Wolfville. Tattingstone Inn is a short walk from Acadia University, one hour from Halifax, and three hours from Yarmouth. The inn is a registered heritage property built circa 1847. It was owned by an early mayor of Wolfville and later by the noted architect Leslie Fairn, who converted the carriage house into his architectural work rooms and offices. When Betsey Harwood purchased the property in 1988, she converted the Main House and Carriage House into a country inn with all the modern amenities while retaining the historic flavour.
Tattingstone Inn is a Registered Historic Home (1874). Ten beautifully furnished rooms with private baths, some with two-person Jaccuzzis. Most rooms have queen size bed. All have phone, Cable TV, and Air Conditioning. Heated outdoor pool, gardens, antique furnishings. Walking distance to downtown and Acadia University.
The inn is open year round. In summer, you may wish to enjoy our pool or just relax in the garden. In winter, both cross country and downhill skiing are available in the area. Bird watching is a favoured pursuit. Bald eagles may be seen nearby at certain times of the year, and pheasants are often found on the property. Full hot breakfast is served each morning.
We hope to see you soon and look forward to serving you.
