Alexander Henry Bed & Breakfast, Kingston, Ontario
The Alexander Henry was built at the Port Arthur Shipbuilding Company and launched in 1958. The ship provided ice breaking service on the upper Great Lakes until 1984. In 1985 she was retired to Kingston, Ontario as a museum ship. A year later the B&B was initiated as a full museum service after a trial operation in 1985. The Alexander Henry is the largest artifact in the Marine Museum collection. You can support the preservation of the Alexander Henry by becoming a Member of the Museum or by spending a night with us as a Bed & Breakfast Guest.
The Cabins, are modest but comfortable and are kept as they would be, when the ship was used by the Coast Guard. Convenient to Downtown Kingston, the ship is within easy walking distance of restaurants, docks, entertainment and other heritage attractions. Since 1986 the ship has been host to over 80,000 guests with the proceeds going directly toward the maintenance of the ship and the operation of the museum.
