Elli's Bed & Breakfast, Canmore, Alberta

Elli's offers breathtaking views from the secluded backyard. There, you will also find a wildflower garden, bird feeders and bird houses which are frequented by 33 species of birds (at last count.) We won Communities in Bloom Container garden for Canmore 2006 and was a two page feature in Our Canada Magazine August/September 2008. Thirty four years of residence in Canmore allow Lou and Elli to provide numerous recreational suggestions for your enhanced enjoyment of the area.

A highlight of your stay at Elli's B&B will be the gourmet breakfast you will be treated to in the morning. An extensive menu is available. You are encouraged to choose your menu item early in the evening. Breakfast is served between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on weekday mornings. On weekends, breakfast may be served later if you wish.

The upstairs living room is a great place to visit with other guests as well as Elli and Lou. There's a fireplace in the living room for your comfort. Among their many interests, Elli paints in water colours and Lou is a photographer. A number of Elli's paintings are featured in the bedrooms.

The upstairs bedroom is a 300 square foot sitting room with a private bath. It features a queen-size bed and there is ample closet space available. In this bedroom, as well as the downstairs one, robes and slippers are provided for your lounging pleasure, or perhaps for a trip to the sauna located outside on the deck. This room has sliding glass doors which take you to the 1,000 square foot deck. The deck provides a stunning view of the mountains. Note the sauna peeking in through the doors.


The downstairs bedroom also features a queen-size bed and private bathroom. Both this room and the upstairs bedroom are decorated in country antique style which reflects the warm, homey atmosphere of the rest of the house. On cold winter days, warm yourself around the cozy gas fireplace while snuggling up with an interesting book that you'll find in this room. Complimentary tea & coffee and Elli's own biscotti are yours for the asking.

Location details / directions

Located in a quiet area of Canmore, away from trains and traffic. A two-minute walk from the house will place you on the trails of the world famous Canmore Nordic centre where you may enjoy hiking, biking, skiing or fresh mountain air. Take advantage of ample bike and ski storage which is available on request.
