I don't think the past reviewer stayed at the same place I did, The Inn at Whale Cove on Grand Manan Island, at the same time my wife and I did, we were the only ones there on Wednesday May 20, 2009! This is a regular place for us to unwind mostly because of the location and certainly because of Laura, the owner, hostess, and well-above average chef.
Laura is anything but "rude and very unprofessional" and "blue mold on both sides of the toast"? You didn't get that during your stay at this Inn!
The Inn is immaculate with comfortable furnishings, the views are breathtaking, and the food is outstanding, not just OK, but prepared by a person who understands ingredients and how to use them.
To the past reviewer...get your location correct before badmouthing a business!

We found the view stunning, and the cottages and buildings had a true "yesteryear" charm; however, the host, was rude and very unprofessional; the beds were extremely uncomfortable and with inadequate bedding for the cool time of year; and on both mornings, our breakfast arrived with blue mold on both sides of the toast. Not exactly what we were expecting!
