In 1988, Jim & Donna Laceby, the present owners and innkeepers purchased the Inn with partner John Bragg . Bringing innkeeping knowledge and a reputation for gourmet excellence from the Amherst Shore Country Inn they continue to restore the house and property. Maintaining and upgrading the Blomidon Inn blending Old World Victorian Charm with modern touches like Jaccuzi tubs. The Blomidon Inn is a beautifully renovated nineteenth century sea captain's mansion built during the glorious days of sail. Each of the 28 guest rooms are complete with ensuite bath and many have four poster beds. The Inn has two gracious sitting rooms and two nineteenth century dining rooms. In addition to being perfect for any visit, they provide the setting to make romantic dinners and getaways just a little "more memorable", weddings "more special" and also, trust us, make corporate gatherings and retreats more effective and efficient.

14 rooms have Jacuzzi tubs and 4 have propane fireplaces

Afternoon tea (3:00 - 4:30 p.m.) and a cold continental buffet breakfast (7:30 -10:00 am) are offered complimentary to overnight guests.

The guest rooms are divided into four categories.

Suites - The suites all have queen size beds except for the Acadia suite which instead has a double canopy bed. They all have Jacuzzi style tubs.They each contain a sofa which makes into a twin bed.

Superior - The superior rooms all have queen size beds. Some have Jacuzzi style tubs.Two other rooms have propane fireplaces.

Regular - The regular rooms all have a double bed. A few have a double and a twin bed.

Modes - These are the smallest rooms at the Inn. Each has a double bed.Each is still individually decorated and contains period furnishing.
