Welcome to Harbour Island Inn and the unique & scenic Fundy Isles. Our Inn is situated in Lord's Cove, one of eight villages on Deer Island in New Brunswick, Canada's beautiful Bay of Fundy. At 10 x 4 miles long, Deer Island is the smallest of three main islands of the Fundy Isles, with a population of around 1,000. To get to the Island from New Brunswick, take Rte 1 south from Saint John or North from St. Stephen. Take any highway exit between 40-43 and follow the Deer Island Ferry signs on Rte 772 through St George to the L'Etete ferry landing.

The 20 minute ferry ride is an enjoyable sail through the archipelago of islands of all sizes that spot the coast between Deer Island and her "sister" island, Campobello. The free government ferry leaves the New Brunswick mainland every half hour from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Deer Island boasts tranquility and relaxation, and plenty for the adventurous nature seeker. Take a whale watching tour in the Bay of Fundy, renowned for it's endangered North Atlantic Right Whale. Watch the playful humpback, giant finback, minke and sei whales as well as the ever-present pods of porpoise and seals which enjoy playing around boats. Hike or bike the winding hills and paths from one million dollar view to the next. See the bald eagle and an endless variety of other birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.

During your stay with us, you may wish to visit Campobello, which boasts the Roosevelt Cottage and Park, and golfing. East Coast Ferries links Deer Island to Campobello and Eastport, Maine.

We are quietly situated on 30 private acres in the centre of a quiet maritime village on a beautiful island in Atlantic Canada's Bay of Fundy. This turn-of-the-century Country Inn is nestled in the village of Lord's Cove, tucked against Eagle Mountain, facing out to greet gentle ocean breezes and the peaceful Harbour of the Cove. Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 11:00 daily. Lunch continues from then until 3:00 pm and dinner is served from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. We also offer a Sunday afternoon Tea between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. Room service is available with an added 15% gratuity. Ice service is also available upon request.

We offer licensed full gourmet meals and candlelight suppers (see sample menu). Enquire about our Honeymoon/Anniversary suite with jacuzzi bath (Vintage Rose Gardens), and our five tailored, antique filled, tranquil guest rooms with private bath - each room designed with a unique "theme" in mind. (The Eagles Nest, The Captain's Loft, Sentimental Notions, Green Meadows). Each of these well-appointed, colourful rooms with period decor are complete with cable television and private telephone which provides free local calling. Our Parlor offers cable television and a VCR. Patron use of guest parlor per availability.

For family groups wishing to enjoy a more private environment or wishing to have full housekeeping facilities in a quiet water side cottage location, we offer our Baview Cottage at Lambert's Cove.
