We enjoyed our stay at Crystal Springs Place. We found that staying a little distance away from Tobermory to save us considerably ($50 per night). The rooms aren't huge but were clean and nicely detailed. The staff was very friendly and more than accomodating. We booked late and couldn't spend the entire weekend here but the staff phoned around tirelessly till they found us a place to stay. Thanks again guys!!!

Positives: Staff friendly,
Rooms clean and affordable
Not far from ferrie, nor many local attractions

Negatives: We had to go back to work, and can't come back till next year

I don't know what these people are talking about!!!! I found the staff to be very helpful, friendly, and pleasant. The room was very clean. The price was good for the area and for a motel during August. They even had a room which had an adjoining door so my family could all be together.

Positives: The motel was right on my way to Tobermony so I could take the ferry. I plan to go back this summer!

Don't hand out rules if you are not going to enforce them. This owner allowed 29 people, 7 tents and three dogs on ONE site!!!! They arrived at 11p.m. and kept us awake until 3a.m. Walking within feet of our tents, on our sites, with flashlights and blowing up air mattress after air mattress with an industrial strength blower one foot away from one of our tents. The next day, these same campers threatened us with a hammer. WE LEFT afraid for our lives. The owner did issue us a full refund. We will never go back.

We stayed in Room 1 for a whopping $70.00 and I thought that was expensive for what we got. A queen size bed and a tv with cable. It was clean though and warm which was about all we cared about even with the 1970's decor. The sign advertised rates as low as $45.00 and this should have been my tip off something was not quite right. After getting home though we got a letter in the mail saying we had broken a box spring and charged an additional $233.00 since we were liable for all the contents of the room and the bill was equal to one night loss of use and the box spring. The box spring however when we left was in perfect condition and though I can't figure it out I know we were somehow duped. BEWARE of this motel as you may end up with a larger than anticipated bill!
