The Inverness Lodge, Inverness, Nova Scotia

The Inverness Lodge is on a hill overlooking the ocean. You can hear the sound of seagulls calling as the fishing boats dock at the wharf. Above the wail of the seagulls and the brine of the ocean you can almost taste the catch of the day on board. The smell of the fresh sea air and the breath taking sunsets over the clear blue sea makes the atmosphere one of peaceful relaxation.

From the back deck of the Inverness Lodge by the sea, the panoramic vista is inviting for both young and old. You may partake of a leisurely stroll towards the ocean which offers 5 miles of uninterrupted beach frontage from the breakwaters to the plaster rocks of Broad Cove. If this seems too ambitious, you can saunter the hills of the dunes around the harbour on the newly constructed boardwalk. Either way, you are ensured of the salty essence of the fisher folk and the clean fresh air which rolls from the Gulf. An awaiting treat may be the hauling of the lobsters from the boats or the catch of the day, fresh from the ocean.

The Hotel has ten clean and spacious rooms. Eight of these are upstairs and two downstairs. Each room has one or two double beds, private bath and individual heat control. Our motel units are cozy and comfortable with private baths and two double beds. All fifteen motel units are on the ground level with in-front parking. Our dining room is on the ground level, air conditioned and fully licensed. Home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner are served everyday. You will be delighted with the large variety of seafood and friendly service at Inverness Lodge By the Sea.
