My husband booked a night for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. In addition I was 8 months pregnant and wanted to have a night away before baby arrived. It was to be the perfect night away. We arrived an hour prior to check in and the owner said that the room was not ready. We said that was fine and we could go out for something to eat and come back but I asked if I could use his washroom. He just looked at me and said the room was not ready yet. I could not believe that at all. I had to run out of there and try to get to a restaurant - about 2 blocks away - here I am soo very pregnant and running away from my husband so I didn't pee my pants. I was upset with this lack of accommodation. I put this notice on Trip Advisor way back when this happened but about 3 days later it was removed. I don't know why they did that when my experience is very relevant to the type of owners that run this facility. The room was very clean however and it was modern and light. The next morning the owner sat with us for breakfast which ruined my meal and he talked about himself the whole time. I would have preferred to eat with the other guests and try to have a peasant start to my morning. We left hungry as the portion size was small but it was a very tasty breakfast. Overall, the customer service and atmosphere of what happened outweighed the other benefits so it is my decision to never again return to this B&B, the Snapdragon Inn.
