Coronation is a small town in east-central Alberta, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 872, approximately 100 kilometres (62 miles) west of the Saskatchewan border. The economy is supported primarily by farming, ranching, and the oil patch. There is one K-12 school called Coronation School (approximately 374 students as of 2009) There is also a Coronation School in Edmonton, that has no affiliation to this Coronation School.
