St. Marys is one of the most beautiful towns in Ontario. Situated 20 minutes south-west of Stratford and its festival theatres, and 30 minutes north-east of London, it is the perfect starting point for day trips. Established in 1841, St. Marys became known as "The Stone Town" due to its many structures rendered in local limestone. Outstanding examples of the early stonemasons' craft are the Town Hall, Opera House, Library, the Old Water Tower, churches, many homes and the two railway viaducts.
